0001 is a collective of architects, technologists, artists, and designers working primarily in the field of housing. We met on the dance floor, our late night conversations inflected by syncopated basslines and bitcrushed beats. Our parents had fled different wars, waged for different reasons in different places—and we saw in each other the same gratitude for the sacrifices they’d made, the same determination to invent our own world anew, and the same appreciation for the hardships that doing that would involve.

0001 GDS is a complete building design system, merging generative AI technologies with the construction processes and supply chain needed to reconfigure housing around the world using universally available components. We’re using it to build a globally-distributed peer-to-peer housing collective.

Disurbanism: Experimental Social Networks

The years following the Russian revolution were charged with an exceptional spirit of creativity and experimentation. For a while, the fresh start inspired entirely new ways of imagining society. It was in this climate that a small group of Constructivist architects, economists, sociologists, and artists developed a radical architectural theory to counter the dominant form of centralized urbanism. They called it Disurbanism.

When you buy an 0001 home, you own the title on your individual home in the traditional way (so you can qualify for a regular mortgage). It's not a timeshare or a rental—it's exactly like owning any other home. We guide you through the purchase process, from choosing the right home, to obtaining financing, to moving in and getting to know your neighbors. Selling directly to our community without expensive brokers’ fees means that we can put everything into creating an extraordinary experience for homebuyers – with access to 0001 homes in other locations and beautifully designed interiors at no additional cost.

From furniture to tableware, linens to toiletries, and pantry essentials to houseplants, each new 0001 home comes fully equipped. Every single thing in an 0001 home is thoughtfully designed with a focus on simplicity and functionality, so homebuyers can move in with nothing but their suitcase.

Each 0001 home is a node in an expanding network. Homeowners get free access to homes in other locations, so you can spend time in other places as often as you like and make your home available to other members of the collective while you’re away. You’ll pay one cleaning fee each time and no nightly rate. Each 0001 home has plenty of secure storage. We take care of the practicalities and keep additional homes in each location for extra flexibility.

You own your home. You're in control. If you don’t want your place to be available to other 0001 homeowners while you’re away, that’s fine—you just won’t be able to make use of other 0001 homes during that time. You’re also free to rent out your home (in accordance with local laws and building rules). And you can sell your home however you like, whenever you like—you own the title. Work with a broker of your choice or use our resale service to simplify the process.

Home0001's community is built on collaboration. From prioritizing new locations and proposing amenities and features, to shaping our events program in each city, members can contribute to the evolution of the collective through discussions both online and over dinner in each of our locations.
